I was lucky enough to be contacted by the owner of an art gallery in Little Tokyo Los Angeles that specializes in Japanese Pop culture, for an art show.

I got the chance to design some characters for a Bratz pitch while I was working at BrainZoo studios. This is clearly one of the high points in my career. Joking joking! While that may have come off a little snarky, I actually ended up enjoying this project way more than I anticipated. The task of designing these characters fell on 3 guys including myself. We did our best to interpret what the final product should look like. Clearly, someone like me is an authority on what a female tweenager likes. =p Like Oh My Gawd! LOL #BratZ #YOLO

The Momager and her Dog. The Momager was designed by my friend and Art Director at the time, Tony Weinstock. 

The dog was supposed to based off of a  real life Lawyer whom I shall not name. 

The main character of the story, after she's been transformed. 

I was asked to design a fiery girl with lots of attitude. 

Later on, they needed her to have darker hair. I'm just following directions at this point.

Megalon WIP

Megalon has always been a strange Kaiju, but he's actually one of my favorites, since i used to watch the VHS of Godzilla vs Megalon to death. I tried my best to make sense of Megalon. His most iconic feature are his drill forearms, but I was always somewhat bothered by how he held it perpendicular to his body in a diving motion to burrow underground. In my variation explorations, I took a liking into the tripod looking one. Basically the three arms fold in and make Megalon into a worm like structure with a drill head, sort of like the Gotengo ship. In Kaju form they fold out into a tripod like state where the outer arms actually double for a shield-like formation similar to the tall shields that rural tribal African warriors carry. As for the backround, I roughly painted in a long lost Seatopia underground chasm.

The Gangster Squad

About 3 years ago, I was lucky enough to get to intern in a production company L1N Pictures on the Warner Bros. lot. The company was trying to push a script called the The Gangster Squad based on a series of Los Angeles Times articles called "Tales From the Gangster Squad". Up to that point we had a room setup to showcase the feel of the movie. No one has been cast yet, although we used a few photos from other properties as mood material. A day before we were set to present the room to the executives at WB, I was asked if I could come up with something from one of the highlights of the film from the script's writer, Will Beall. I whipped this one out in a few hours. To my knowledge this has been the only pitch concept piece for the script that was on that year's "black list". I was waiting for the longest time for the movie to be released and sadly for multiple and obvious reasons, the delays due to the Aurora tragedy furthered that. Anyway, it's nothing too crazy, but here it is.
