J.D.F. (Japan Defense Force) vs Destroyah
Japan Defense Force featuring Mecha Godzilla, Jet Jaguar, M.O.G.U.E.R.A., Mecha Mothra, and Mecha Ghidora. Fighting a swarm of Destroyahs.
This toook alot longer than I'd like to admit, but I'm glad I'm finally done. I was inspired by the first time the Avengers come together in that rotating shot in their first movie. I wanted to do something with a similar feel with the mech arsenal that have spanned the Godzilla movies over the years. These are all my redesigns of the exisiting characters.Only one that's kinda made up from nowhere is Mecha Mothra, which I threw in for fun.

The Sponge Bob Movie 2
This was a project that I had the opportunity to work on while I was at Rhythm and Hues back in 2012. I was asked to work on the pitch for Sponge Bob 2. At that point in my life I hadn't watched an episode of Sponge Bob in my entire life. So apologies to the superfans if I didn't get the essence or characters right. I grew up on Animaniacs, which I guess would be the equivalent for someone my age. The prompt I had was to make the Sponge Bob characters into live action superheros. Nothing really beyond that. At the time it was recently announced that Disney had acquired Marvel, but I assumed since Paramount was still distributing, I figured they could somehow crossover. So I made an attempt to match up many of the main characters into their corresponding Avenger counterpart.
I had the most fun working on Sponge Bob himself. I had to figure out the anatomy, and made him into a human Sponge.
I think this was the only contribution I had that evolved into something that made it onto the screen. At least I'd like to think so. I wanted to make Mr Krabs into Iron man. Whoever got to finalize the superhero designs made him into a robot which is sorta similar...? Maybe not.
Squidward was the hardest because I wasn't sure if his nose was a tentacle, or a nose...
Didn't finish this one
My art director wasn't too happy with this one because it was too phallic. I said that was the point!

Godzilla vs Charles Barkley II
Since the new movie came out and, it's the NBA playoffs, I decided to illustrate a sequel to a famous comic.

I don't usually paint stuff like this, but I was stressed out lately, and I wanted to unwind a bit tonight.

Star Craft Theme Park
Here's some ideas I had for two Star Craft based Theme Park rides
The first two are from a simulator ride similar to Star Tours and Soaring over California.
The riders wait in line to board a transport ship. An animatronic marine is in the background being suited up. A homage to the Wings of Liberty trailer.
Main part of the ride where they escape the planet being overtaken by the Zerg. Similar to what's going on in the Heart of the Swarm opening cinematic. The idea is that you're sitting in a transport, when all of a sudden your pilot informs you that the Zerg are invading. You'll see on a smaller monitor that a wave of Scourges are on your way, and they happen to blow open the bottom hull of your transport ship. That's when your chairs rotate back and you're looking top to bottom on a nearly overhead IMAX screen. Your pilot then trys to get you safely out of the city, and various things happen throughout the ride.
This is a different ride similar to the Buzz Lighter Star Command at Disneyland.
You're a passenger on a Zerg drone going on a track ride through a hive trying to mine gas and minerals. Along the way, you'll see various animatronic Zergs stopping by to say hello. A frightening G-rated ride.
Some ideas for a mutated Zerg Drone that will carry two passengers. It's about a logical as a 8 passenger convertible DeLorean.
